Read the Today screen

Today is your morning glance: what came in, what it cost, what needs doing. Thirty seconds with coffee.

The tiles, top to bottom

  1. Sales · in-house vs delivery — today's total deposits, split between in-house (card + cash) and delivery platforms.
  2. In your pocket — the owner's month so far: In, Out, Net, plus what you've Drawn, put to 401(k), and Retained.
  3. COGS — food cost as a % of sales this month, with outstanding (scanned, unpaid) bills.
  4. Labor — wages ÷ sales, from your payroll check ranges.
  5. Notable price moves — items whose price moved since your last purchases; anything suspicious is held for a unit check.
  6. Payroll countdown — when a payday approaches you'll see "Write payroll checks tomorrow", then "today".
  7. Recent activity — the latest bank transactions, card and bank, including pending.

How "In" and "Out" count

"In" counts sales settled to this month — earned here, even if the deposit lands next month. "Out" counts card charges on the day charged; the card bill payment is excluded because that spend was already counted. This is why Kanjo's month-end matches reality instead of your bank's deposit timing.
